Training Program Supervisor

What We're Looking For:

We are seeking a Program Supervisor who is primarily responsible for providing effective leadership and direction to the Innovations 2 Trauma-Informed Care (TIC) Project, Resource Library, Child Care Initiative Project (CCIP), child care provider Professional Development Trainings and other projects.

Under the supervision of the R&R Program Coordinator, the Program Supervisor will be responsible for compliance with related fiscal and programmatic requirements within and between Crystal Stairs and partner agencies and organizations. The ideal candidate will also have the following responsibilities:

  1. Comply with contractual requirements, deliverables and agency policies and procedures as well as assist in data collection and/or analysis to evaluate and/or enhance program operations and client services.
  2. Directly supervise a team of 2-3 support staff. Provide direction, leadership and coaching to staff members by conducting periodic check-ins and performance reviews, monitoring unit personnel including hiring, orientation, training, mentoring and motivating staff.
  1. Develop an action plan that will demonstrate delivery of effective ECE and TIC practices (trainings, education, and support) throughout the department staff, programs and services.
  2. Timely coordinate and organize all child care provider Professional Development Trainings and participate in initial and ongoing ECE and TIC trainings that will inform departmental practices
  3. Communicate with department staff to gain understanding of behavioral health concerns in ECE field.
  4. Represent Crystal Stairs at designated program meetings, trainings, collaboratives with various stakeholders.
  5. In partnership with the Referral Services Program Supervisor, lead the Child Care Provider Complaint process.  Review of incoming complaints and management of the complaint database.

 EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES YOU SHOULD POSSESS:

  • Bachelor of Science/Arts degree in Human Services, Social Services, Psychology Early Childhood Education or Child development with related work experience required from an accredited university. Master's Degree in above related fields and/or experience in Trauma Informed Care Practices is a plus.
  • Minimum of 2 years supervisory experience, 2 to 3 years' related experience delivering TIC practices and trainings with understanding of Adverse Childhood Experiences, early childhood education, child development or working with children in special needs settings.
  • Experience and ability to work with adult learners and diverse client populations.
  • Experience delivering trainings and curriculum development; planning, implementing, and coordinating major projects and trainings.
  • Must have the ability to work flexible days as work will include evenings and weekends.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:

Must possess and maintain a valid California driver's license; and have use of a motor vehicle.
