Information Technology (IT) Supervisor

What We're Looking For:

We are seeking an Information Technology (IT) Supervisor to supervise the Information Technology (IT) Help Desk and network administration personnel. In addition, the Technical Supervisor will provide leadership, documentation, planning, implementation and support for company's technology systems.  The ideal candidate will have the following responsibilities:

  1. Supervise the IT Help Desk and network administration personnel.
  2. Network administration and support (including, but not limited to, data, network and server infrastructure, VMware, malware protection, DNS, DHCP, data backups, security management, encryption, user account management, MS Exchange management, Disaster Recovery, telecom circuits, VoIP systems, Internet access and the operations of the data centers.)
  3. Assists in selection, orientation and training of new staff.
  4. Prepares and conducts staff performance appraisals and reviews
  5. Supervises Help Desk support ticketing systems, evaluates, and assigns tickets to staff.
  6. Monitors network performance and efficiency, analyzes problems, reviews and implements upgrades and solutions.
  7. Participates in testing and evaluating new technologies; make recommendations for the infrastructure improvements; coordinate, test, and implement new products; ensure successful integration of systems.
  8. Documents IT systems and processes. Maintains inventories of hardware and software licenses.
  9. Keep abreast of network infrastructure technologies through research and continuing education.
  10. Assist IT vendors to understand our technical systems and help rollout new products and services.
  11. Assist the IT Manager in supervising the work and performance of IT vendors.
  12. Assist in preparing and monitoring the budget of the IT infrastructure.
  13. Perform other duties as assigned.



  • Require BS degree in Computer Science or a related field. High School Diploma and 10 years of verifiable relevant work experience may be substituted for college level education
  • Minimum of four years experience as a Network Administrator on a medium sized network of servers, switches and routers using current technologies is required.
  • Minimum of two years supervisory experience of technical personnel is required.
  • Minimum of two years supporting VMware infrastructure and SANs is required.
  • Minimum of two years experience supporting MS Exchange is required.
  • Minimum of one year experience supporting telecom Voice over IP (VoIP) is desired
  •  Ability to troubleshoot and solve information technology problems
  • Strong documentation and excellent people skills.
  • Ability to provide guidance/team leadership to technical personnel.
  • Strong research capabilities and time management skills.
