Finance Payroll Processor

What We're Looking For:

We are seeking a Payroll Processor who will be responsible for processing the agency's payroll on a semi-monthly basis timely and accurately. The ideal candidate will have the following responsibilities:

  1. Responsible for processing semi-monthly payroll for 350+ employees
  2. Review payroll transactions and timecards in ezlabor
  3. Review activity timecards to ensure compliance of our funders's terms and conditions
  4. Perform manual paycheck and accruals calculations when needed.
  5. Assist with system maintenance for ADP WorkForce Now and ezlabor
  6. Maintain and process employee garnishment
  7. Complete EDD forms and other requests for employee pay information
  8. Collect timecard reports, maintain timecard report log, file reports, follow-up with supervisors regarding outstanding timecard reports, and prepare monthly report of outstanding items
  9. Reconcile employee benefit payment in ADP with invoice
  10. Sort and distribute payroll checks
  11. Calculate mileage reimbursement for employee
  12. Prepare reports and spreadsheets using ADP Report and Excel for small contracts and as required
  13. Prepare employee work hours report quarterly
  14. Prepare miscellaneous employee reports
  15. Assist supervisors and staff with questions regarding ezlabor and payroll
  16. Reset password for ezlabor user
  17. Assist with updating and developing corporate payroll policies and procedures
  18. Other duties as assigned

 EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES YOU SHOULD POSSESS:

  • B.A. or B. S. degree from an accredited four-year university. Relevant work experience may be substituted for college level education. Accounting classes a plus.
  • Minimum of three years experience in payroll processing with ADP; experience with electronic timekeeping system and Payroll Report Writing a plus.
  • Requires considerable accuracy and attention to detail, strong multi-tasking and organization skills
  • Must have good customer service and communication skills
  • Must be able to meet tight deadlines and juggle priorities; must be able to work independently and in team environment.
  • Ability to identify and analyze problem situations and develop an effective course of action for resolution.
