What We're Looking For:
Crystal Stairs is looking for an experienced Intake Specialist (bilingual English/Spanish). Under limited supervision, the Intake Specialist will determine family eligibility and help parents eligible under the California subsidized child care programs gain access to child care programs and services. This vital position maintains cases as well as the certifying and re-certifying of family eligibility. You will certify and authorize care hours, update family information, approve changes, and issue family referrals as needed. You will provide quality customer service for all clients and internal support departments, and ensuring the accurate and timely entry of data. You will perform childcare orientations at various county/government Regional Offices. You may also conduct site visits to various locations. Other key duties include conducting childcare orientations and outreach activities, as well as represent the agency at community events. Other duties as assigned.

• Minimum two years experience in case management or client/vendor management in a human services or child development environment
• B.A. or B.S. degree from an accredited four year university or equivalent work experience.
• Strong time management and organizational skills
• Ability to prioritize work
• Excellent written and oral communications skills in both English and Spanish
• Excellent customer service skills and experience with a diverse client base
• Ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines
• Ability to apply program guidelines and follow procedures
• Ability to maintain confidentiality
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task
• Bilingual English/Spanish
