What We're Looking For:

We are seeking a Programs Technical Trainer who will develop and maintain a thorough understanding of our software applications and business processes and provide training and testing for current and new employees.  Plan, organize and coordinate all technical training activities for Crystal Stairs' staff, to include design, development, implementation, and evaluation. Ensure consistency of training in meeting the Agency's strategic objectives and goals.  Provide expert consultation, analysis, facilitation, research and project management in all areas related to the education, training and development of Crystal Stairs' employees. The ideal candidate will have the following responsibilities: 

  1. Understands CSI's Child Care Subsidy software application and all software applications used by the Agency.
  2. Understands all Funding Terms and Conditions for all Subsidy Programs.
  3. Create and deliver training solutions that translate complex business, process or technological concepts into easy-to-understand course materials and tutorials for Crystal Stairs' staff.
  4. Prepares and maintains training database, ensuring content is updated and relevant to planned trainings.
  5. Obtains information needed to prepare in-house training programs; prepares training materials; develops course content; determines methodology; and coordinates the development of training aids.
  6. Conducts training sessions and develops criteria for evaluating effectiveness of training activities.
  7. Attends Functional Area trainings and process updates to stay abreast of current practices.
  8. Continuously revises lesson plans to meet new training requirements and to keep technical information up to date.
  9. Makes recommendations for improvement of workflow processes and other factors that impact employee performance.
  10. Provides ongoing assessment of training needs and develop appropriate training plans/strategies.
  11. Establishes and implements training schedules and calendars based upon priorities and needs of requesting business units.
  12. Network with training and organizational development professionals to inform training curriculum development.
  13. Participates in User Acceptance testing of software.
  14. Participates in developing and updating departmental work instructions and User Manuals.
  15. Other duties and special projects as assigned.


  • Bachelor's degree and a minimum of three years of relevant experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years experience designing, implementing and delivering training of a technical nature.  
  • Knowledge and experience with non-profit or publicly funded Child Care organization is desired.
  • Must have strong analytical and problem-solving skills. 
  • Requires excellent written, oral, presentation and interpersonal skills. 
  • Must be able to motivate audiences in a learning environment. 
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the principles and practices of training and development.
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of MS Office and other software including graphic design.
